Free help exists in every borough. Find job coaching, training, city openings, and support while you search. A job hunt is enough work without paying somebody to tell you to “network more.”

A simple plan for this week

  1. Pick your borough and contact Workforce1 about an appointment or workshop.
  2. Ask your library for a second pair of eyes on your résumé and help with online applications.
  3. Check Jobs NYC events and city government openings, then apply through the official site.
  4. If money is tight while you search, use the ACCESS NYC screener. Needing help between jobs is exactly why these programs exist.
