Welcome to NYC Survival Jobs (“NYC Survival Jobs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of nycsurvivaljobs.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. What the Site Does
NYC Survival Jobs helps people discover employment opportunities in New York City. The Site may display jobs submitted by employers and jobs we have found through publicly available sources. We may also publish employment news and other career-related information.
NYC Survival Jobs is a job-listing platform. We are not the employer for jobs listed on the Site unless a listing expressly says otherwise. We do not make hiring decisions, conduct background checks for employers, or guarantee interviews or employment.
2. Job Listings and Applications
We aim to provide useful, current listings, but jobs can change or close without notice. We do not guarantee that a listing is accurate, complete, available, legitimate, or suitable for you. Verify important details—including pay, schedule, benefits, location, qualifications, and application instructions—with the employer before applying or accepting an offer.
Some listings link to an employer’s website or another third-party service. When you follow an external link or apply outside the Site, that organization’s terms and privacy practices apply. NYC Survival Jobs is not responsible for its hiring process, communications, products, or services.
Unless expressly stated on the Site, submitting an application does not create an employment relationship with NYC Survival Jobs.
3. Job Seeker Safety
Use your judgment when communicating with a prospective employer. Do not send money, financial account details, or sensitive identity documents in response to an unverified job offer. If a listing appears fraudulent, misleading, discriminatory, or closed, please report it to admin@nycsurvivaljobs.com.
We may investigate reports and remove listings, but we cannot promise to review or independently verify every listing before it appears.
4. Employer and Recruiter Submissions
If you submit a job listing, you represent that you are authorized to advertise the position and that the information you provide is accurate and current. You are responsible for your listing, hiring practices, communications with applicants, and compliance with applicable employment, advertising, pay disclosure, privacy, and anti-discrimination laws.
Listings must describe genuine opportunities. You may not submit a listing that is fraudulent, misleading, unlawful, discriminatory, unrelated to employment, or intended to collect applicant information for an undisclosed purpose. You must promptly update or remove a listing when the position changes or closes.
By submitting a listing, you give NYC Survival Jobs permission to display, format, distribute, and promote the material you submit for the purpose of operating and marketing the Site. You retain ownership of your content and confirm that you have the rights needed to grant this permission.
We may edit listings for formatting and clarity, request verification, reject submissions, or remove listings that we believe violate these Terms or could harm Site users. Publication does not mean we endorse or verify an employer.
5. Sourced Listings
NYC Survival Jobs may create short summaries of openings found on employer websites or other public sources. A sourced listing does not mean that the employer submitted the job to us, approved our summary, or has a business relationship with us. Applicants should consult the original posting for the most current information.
If you represent an employer and believe a sourced listing is inaccurate or should be removed, contact admin@nycsurvivialjobs.com with the listing link and your requested correction.
6. Paid Listings and Promotions
If we offer paid job postings or promotions, the price and included features will be shown before purchase. Paying for a listing does not guarantee views, applications, interviews, or hires. Any listing remains subject to these Terms and our review standards.
The duration of a paid listing, renewal terms, and any applicable refund or cancellation terms will be presented at checkout or in the applicable order details. Those terms are part of your agreement with us. We may remove a paid listing that violates these Terms; any refund will be handled according to the terms presented at purchase and applicable law.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Post false, deceptive, unlawful, or discriminatory content.
- Impersonate another person or organization.
- Use the Site to collect personal information for an undisclosed or unauthorized purpose.
- Interfere with the Site’s operation or security.
- Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or overload the Site without our written permission.
- Use Site content in a way that infringes another person’s rights.
We may restrict access to the Site when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.
8. Site Content
The Site’s original text, design, branding, and other original materials belong to NYC Survival Jobs or its licensors. You may use the Site to search and share links to individual listings for personal, noncommercial purposes. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Site content to you.
Employer names, logos, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on the Site does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information collected through the Site. Please read it alongside these Terms.
10. Availability and Changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue Site features or remove content. We may also update these Terms. When we do, we will post the revised Terms with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
11. Disclaimer
The Site and its content are provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, NYC Survival Jobs makes no warranties about uninterrupted access, the accuracy or availability of listings, or the outcome of any application or hiring process. Employment news and career content on the Site are general information, not individualized professional advice.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, NYC Survival Jobs will not be liable for losses arising from inaccurate or expired listings, communications or transactions with third parties, an employer’s hiring decisions or workplace conduct, or interruptions to the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be limited.
